Truck handles 5th wheel with ease. Gas engine never struggles. Transmission is smooth and keeps rig at desired speed up and down mountains. Ride is good for heavy duty.… - 5.0
Good Solid Smooth Riding Truck
By Home Builder | on Sunday, September 20, 2020
I bought this truck new in 2019. The previous vehicle was an 18 Denali HD. While I really enjoyed the Denali HD, The technology and styling was night and day difference. Its the little things like the fact that the cab is larger for the back seat passengers, as well as the fact that they now have rear ac vents. This completely eliminated the "Dad its hot back here" complaints. For the big things. I use this truck everyday to check on jobsites as well as deliver the occasional boards and plywood, so most of the time this truck runs unloaded with the exception of a toolbox. I do have a skid steer as well that I haul occasionally thus the need for the HD. My o my how the 10 speed transmission has changed the game. I was worried it would constantly be shifting and searching for gears but that's not the case at all, by far the smoothest shifting diesel I have ever had. One of the best rewards from this 10 speed is the mileage. I bought truck new and would average anywhere from 17.5 to 18 mpg, this is a mix of about 60% interstate 37% back country roads, and 3% off road job sites. That was new. The truck now has 29k miles in only 11 months. I am now averaging between 19.5 to 20. That is amazing on such a large truck. Now don't get me wrong I seldom romp on this truck, but I do average about 78mph on the interstate. Fuel mileage is huge to me because of the miles I rack up. To have a 20mpg truck that has enough torque to pull a house off its foundation is something I never thought would happen. I am a very satisfied customer and am currently waiting for the 2021 models to come out. Why would I get rid of a truck I rave about? Its simple, I just want to get the long bed version as it will be easier for lumber hauling. I am one of those weird guys that still use my truck as a truck.… - 5.0
Awesome!

I do not know what one reviewer is driving but you are not getting 20-23 mpg. I’m getting 12-13 on the V8, this is the Only down side, but knew that when I bought it. Awesome truck!…
